Hi there!
My name is Jordan Parker. I think it’s usually best to be candid – I am the emptiome of the ‘bright-eyed and bushy-tailed’ archetype that’s perhaps the well-trodden path for young actors at the start of their hopefully long careers. I take a comfort in knowing that I want suceed so badly, that I pride myself on being the hardest worker in any room. I remember my father giving me the advice ‘RTQ ATQ’ before any exam – ‘Read the question. Answer the question.’, I suppose that really stuck with me and taught me that the solution to a problem can often be more immediately important than asking why the question is being asked.
Though, I still believe it’s vital for being a well rounded person to be an apt critical thinker. I will often reserve my immediate judgement of something and take the time to consider things from perspectives other than my own – I understand that my way of viewing the world isn’t objectively right or wrong, just another angle. I’m absolutely enamoured with words and find the more descriptive a word can be, the more precisely I can communicate my perspective and as such understand others to a greater depth. I take my love of words and the english language to the medium of poetry too – it’s my favourite hobby and I even started a little Youtube channel narrating my own poems and stories. I simply find no greater joy than taking the time to deeply consider a pertinent topic or story idea and following it to its conclusion – I can’t start a job and not finish it and it grants me the opportunity to challenge any set ideas I may currently have with new evidence.
I love to travel to foreign places (both in and out of the country) and soak in the local culture and the individual stories they themselves have to share, I like to keep myself in decent physical condition both in the gym and generally walking to places whenever possible, I’m quite a fan of woodworking too and take a great amount of enjoyment in making presents for people – from little nameplates to one time an entire sword!
I think of myself as a reasonably serious person and want to understand this world we wander in as much as I physically can and I see no better way than to share the experience of life with those we wander with.
